Welcome to Kastelani family apartment, which is spacious entire upper floor of family house, apartment in Dubrovnik. 970 Square Feet living space, 2 balconies, exit to balcony from day room, Apartment has Master bedroom with 3 beds, 2 beds can easily be joined together into one,and another room has 2 single beds. Large day room with sofa bed which can accommodate 6th person, TV, Connection for flat rate internet, WI- Fi, signal is very strong in whole apartment for your convenience. owner will provide guests with password for unlimited internet, and WI-FI use.
Apartment is air conditioned with additional electric oil radiator, portable on wheels which can easily be moved anywhere in apartment in winter months. Large separate kitchen, fully equipped for preparing and serving food, used also as dining place with table and six chairs. Hallway, WC with cabin type shower, bidet, washing machine is inside. Owner with family lives down below, separate entrance. 1 free private parking place is secured for guests next to entrance. Distance from sea ferry port is 90 meters and from old town some 1 mile, and local bus station is 30 meters away from apartment. Journey by city bus to old town takes some 10 minutes.
The apartment is on the upper floor of the house, with private gardens surrounding the home. Part of the property is just for guests, with a separate entrance, and space for a BBQ.

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands Gruz region is Dubrovinik’s harbor for passenger ships, visiting annually, the city is in top 10 destinations in the world attracting millions of tourists annually. Ships can be seen from the balcony of the apartment! It is looking out over the harbor splendid views!
The climate is excellent, not just in summer but also in the winter months. It is mostly sunny in all Adriatic coasts, and Croatia as well
In July is Dubrovnik festival, lasting through August, it is World’s greatest artists performing spectacular events, classic music, theatrical drama, all performed in old city, such as Lovrjenac Fort with is 37 meters, or 1130 feet high sea cliff outside the city walls as a perfect location for performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
One can approach it from the little Pile beach, by climbing the flight of stairs in the shade of the pine trees. The people of Dubrovnik built the fort in order to protect the western sea access to the city, particularly from the Venetian fleet. The construction began in 1018 and was completed in the 16th century. The wasll facing the sea are 4-12 meters thick.

The fort houses a chapel of St. Lawrence, and its courtyard with a cistern serves as a magical venue for theatrical performances. Many plays have been performed here within the Dubrovnik Summer Festival program. Lovrijenac Fort has become the perfect world famous setting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The fort is opened to visitiors as well. Dubrovnik Gruz area is actually the heart of Dubrovnik, 1 mile away from the old city which is an historic place, where evens and entertainment usually take place in the evening. It is easily reached by city public bus, car parking is available in old city but limited, cars are not allowed to enter old city, only emergency vehicles are permitted to drive there, and the local Bishop.
The area where the apartment is located has many advantages, it is easy to get to, no stairs or steps to climb as it is situated under the Srdj Hill (see picture below) and 90% of the houses and apartments here are on hills. You can climb up the hill for extraordinary views of the city!! If you come by car you can drive straight up to the apartment, park your car on private parking. Excellent local bus transport provided, with air conditioning, where you can go anywhere, relaxed and local bus station is just 20 meters from the house
Within 200 meters radius from the apartment are many attractions, such as a fresh fish market, large shopping mall, banks, post office, hospital and pharmacy, and numerous restaurant. Lots and lots of shops to explore, and car and scooter rentals
The inter city bus station, which is used also as an arrival and departure place for Dubrovnik airport shuttle buses. For guests arriving by plane the owner of this charming apartment will actually pick you up free of charge. It is located just minutes from the apartment.
Dubrovnik airport is very modern, and just 22 km (13.7 miles) away from the city.
Enjoy beautiful promenade along the waterfront 100 yards away with the most amazing views of the mega yachts visiting Dubrovnik!
They are berthed here during the summer season, with many excursions offered daily to nearby islands, Dubrovnik countryside, Medjugorje, Mostar, Montenegro, just to name a few.
Just a short 100 yards away from the apartment is berth, where the small passenger shipping company “Jadronlinja” ships are docked and leave for trips to nearby beautiful Elaphite Islands (see pictures below) such as Kolocep, Lopud, and Sipan, several times per day. The trip takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on which island you visit. The Islands have beautiful sandy beaches, shaded by beautiful Dalmation pine trees. Ticket prices are very reasonable and popular among the locals as well as tourists, spend the day on these beautiful islands , in the afternoon just before sunset and later go to Gruz harbor
The beaches are not as crowded as the ones in the mainland, which are approximately 1 mile away from the apartment. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the old medieval part of the city of Dubrovnik, which is famous for the beach “Banje” City bus tickets cost 1.5 euro, and it is more convenient to use the city buses as parking is limited, and if you have to pay for parking it can get quite expensive.
