Rent usually is paid in cash upon arrival. If paid via PayPal upon arrival a 5% fee is added. No worries about carrying cash in Japan. It is very safe country and people are super polite and considerate.
By making a deposit you agree to the terms below and agree to the deposit conditions. All transactions will be in Japanese yen .By using PayPal for transactions, PayPal may apply additional fees to the refund amount. Fluctuations in exchange rates will effect the refund amount when Japanese yen is converted.
Be sure that you send the deposit with an email linked to your PayPal account as payments via PayPal cannot be made to emails not linked to an account due to various regulations and Japanese laws.
THE RENTER acknowledges for the duration of this agreement that the use of the property is
entirely at the renter's risk. The renter shall indemnify and save harmless THE OWNER against and from any and all expenses, costs, damages, suits, actions or liabilities arising from any and all loss of or damage to personal property, injury or death resulting from the use of the rental property or grounds. The cost of any unreasonable damage caused by THE RENTER will be deducted from the damage deposit.THE RENTER will be responsible for any damage caused in excess of the damage deposit and will be invoiced separately.THE RENTER shall, throughout the period of the rental, keep the property in a state of cleanliness and in good condition and repair.THE RENTER acknowledges that at commencement of the rental, the property is in good and substantial repair except for any defect THE RENTER may report to THE OWNER or representative during the first 2 days of the rental.THE RENTER shall leave the property in good repair, dishes washed, beds stripped, all garbage separated appropriately in sealed garbage bags and placed in the proper bin and take out on designated days. The maximum number of GUESTS using the rental premises shall not exceed the total number stated in the Tokhouse Inc. rental agreement. ALL GUESTS are responsible to carry adequate liability and travel insurance coverage.THE RENTER agrees to Tu off alllights, electric & gas appliances when going out for safety.Tokhouse is strictly a NO-SMOKING accommodation. THE RENTER agrees smoking by any guests will void any refund on the damage deposit. THE RENTER agrees to close windows when leaving to avoid rain damages. THE RENTER agrees to keep all screens closed to prevent entry insects. THE RENTER agrees No pets are allowed on the premises.THE RENTER agrees not to hang clothes from the curtain rails. THE RENTER agrees to respect other guests and neighbors and not disturb them by loud noise or trespass . THE RENTER agrees to put keys in the lock box upon departure and will pay the cost to replace the locks if keys are lost.
