Breckenridge owns Colorado’s largest historic district which was settled during the 1859 Gold Rush. However the city got its first ski runs in the 1960s and before it, the city looked like the western-movie-set-like “Breck”.
Here you can enjoy the snowshoe and cross-country ski trails at the Breckenridge Nordic Center. The city has fine two entrance properties, good bus services and luscious food around. Apart from it, you can take some fine pottery, creative writing, or ceramics classes in the Breckenridge Arts District.
North Conway is famous for its pastel-colored Victorian architecture and views. Just located at the middle of the 660,000-acre White Mountain National Forest, the North Conway is at the distance of half hour of 13 ski resorts and cross-country centers that offer a total of 250 trails.
They do issue Black Mountain Family Passport for families in the different price range for holidays. Do make your way to Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center.
The Stowe is the colonial town which was created in the years of 1763. The town owes the famous church steeple and many other attractions. The place is home to Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield which offers the plenty of diamond trails and beginner runs.
Also, the place has six distinctive areas for skiing activities along with the great hospitality at the resorts and fun of local culture.
Lake Placid is a village near the lake of the same name and the city has gained fame as the Winter Olympics venue and a hub for snow sports and other outdoor pursuits. Just located by the side of mountains, the city offers plenty of activities like hiking, bicycling and perfect skiing.
Apart from adventurous skiing, the place does owe visitors some fine treats like art galleries, Lake Placid Center for the Arts and many another places to have fun.
Originally named as the Coburn Station, the town gets renamed as Truckee after a Paiute chief. The town has Donner Memorial State Park Cross-Country Ski which offers you the cross-country skiing opportunities.
Other attractions of the city are Donner Peak, Mount Judah, and Andesite Peak. The city does offer you some magnificent views along with great hospitality.
